A Hidden Little Paradise
Where ancient cork oaks whisper, horses roam free,
and the stars put on a show like nowhere else in Europe
We’re Astrid and Sander, a Dutch couple who followed our hearts to one of the most untouched corners of Spain. Our home sits among ancient cork oaks and fruit trees on a hillside in Lanchuelas — a place so quiet, so far from highways and industry, that the silence itself becomes a sound.
We share this land with our horses, chickens, friendly dogs, and an extraordinary population of birds. The streams run clear, the orange and lemon trees bloom in the garden, and on clear nights — which is most nights — the Milky Way stretches unbroken from horizon to horizon. We live in one of Europe’s darkest spots for stargazing.
We opened our land to fellow travelers because we believe this kind of beauty is meant to be shared. Whether you stay for one night or a week, we hope you’ll feel the same magic that made us stay forever.
Space for campers and vans up to 7 meters long, 3 meters high. Shaded by cork oaks, surrounded by nature.
Compost toilet, outdoor shower, electricity, and fresh water. Everything you need, nothing you don’t. 15€ per night for 2 persons.
Fresh eggs from our chickens, fruit from the garden in season. Laundry facilities available too.
Your furry travel companions are more than welcome. Our friendly dogs will show them around.
Every season has its magic here. Spring wildflowers, warm summers, golden autumns, mild winters under clear skies.
Parking is always free. Pay only for services if you’d like to use them — no pressure, no minimum stay.

For me, it was by far the most beautiful place on my journey. We planned to stay one night but stayed three — it’s so beautiful and quiet here.
Sleeping underneath the stars… magical. The landscape here is like a fairytale. Orange and lemon trees, streams, horses, breathtaking nature.
The road there has a true Hobbit feel. Deafening silence. This is what we travel for.
Paradise for geological freaks and bird lovers. They have fresh eggs from the chickens! The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming.
A hidden gem in Extremadura. The silence, the stars, the nature — this was the highlight of our entire trip through Spain.
Astrid and Sander are the loveliest hosts. Helpful, warm, and genuinely happy to share their little paradise with you.
Astrid and Sander are just the most considerate hosts. They have been extremely helpful with everything. And their place truly is a hidden paradise.
We’re tucked away in the rolling hills of Extremadura, near the Portuguese border. The last stretch of road is an adventure in itself — narrow, winding, and absolutely beautiful.
